Hey everybody!

This is Zoki, your head (and at the moment sole) mod. Now that we have enough characters to open, I'd like to announce that the opening date of the game will be Wednesday, April 17th. There's trouble brewing on the horizon, and soon Angel Grove will meet its newest heroes in an explosion-fest of an opening battle. And the newest villains will be making their debuts as well!

But we have a few days until then, so I thought we could introduce ourselves and perhaps start some preliminary plotting.

Here's what I'll tell you: both villain and Ranger characters will be warping into a tense situation. The villains have finally pulled their heads from their rears long enough to notice that they can finally overtake Earth now. But the remnants of the Ranger organization have pushed an emergency plan to stop them. Unfortunately for your characters, the emergency plan consists of the Rangers being pushed into battle immediately. With no training. But hey, the power will protect you, right? That's what the leaders at the Hexagon keep saying.

This first battle is a golden opportunity for the villains to make an impact. They know their powers, they'll have an army of clay foot-soldiers at their command, and they can each magically enhance one object of their choosing to be their chosen monster. Get creative! Fly down to Earth and taunt them if you want! Destroy stuff in the city! Just...not any of the important locations on the locations page without mod permission, please.

The main limit is that no one should be dying just yet. This first battle will just establish the conflict, and then the new Rangers will receive their training. After that, the whole of Angel Grove will be yours to explore.

But remember, this is only the first battle. Both sides will be receiving reinforcements and experiencing shakeups. And the scope of the battlefield will definitely grow across time and space.

All right, I'll kick this off!

I'll be playing Billy from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (morphitudinous) and Applejack from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (appletastic).

Billy's a veteran Ranger. Angel Grove is his home turf, but he's not used to seeing it quite like this---not almost 40 years in the future and with so many familiar landmarks gone. He'll be impressed by the interspecies integration in society, not so impressed with the rough situation they've been thrown into. He'll be helping the newcomers as best he can but he'll probably have a shorter fuse than usual. That might include speaking like he's swallowed a thesaurus again.

Applejack is...worried. She's brave, she's ready to fight, but as far as she can tell she's the only pony in this strange new world and these powers were for two-legged folk. They'll shift to accommodate her, she'll just be extra-tough to prove to the others that she can keep up.

Hello, I'll be playing Son Goku from Dragonball (songoku). He's a fourteen-year-old kid who spent the majority of his life growing up in the mountains, so he's a little shaky on concepts like "aliens" and "table manners". On the other hand, he'll love the opportunity to bash up some bad guys!

Goku's main mode of transportation is the Kinto'un, a magical cloud that will only allow the purehearted to ride on it (the non-purehearted can ride on Goku's back), so he'll be happy to give people a lift. He'll also likely be confused by this Ranger powers thing, and will have to figure out the concept of transforming, since as far as he can tell it is WITCHCRAFT.

I vote for Lina failing to ride the magic cloud (and throwing a fit over it), and there being some instance where they run a food establishment out of stock by accident.

I'm bringing in Lee Chaolan golfandrobots. Lee is a long retired white ranger that once lead a team to help during the 70's and early 80's. Upon his retirement, he offered to help out any ranger that needs his assistance. His business is in robotics and new technology.

He now calls Angel Grove his home after moving away to take care of his aging father while he was searching for his brother. After twenty years of being away and nearly thirty years since he was a Ranger, he returns to the place where it all began to aid the new generation in the protection of the world.

Excellent, these kids could definitely use a mentor. Especially with all the hot blood and high tensions likely to come from that battle.

I am Wingus! I will be playing Lina Inverse from Slayers (dragonspooker) here. She's a sorceress with a questionable-at-best reputation, but is a decent sort deep down. She tends to put her own wants first however, and has a hair-trigger temper about a lot of things. She's got no qualms about fighting, and is an old hand at it, but she is really not gonna be into this whole Ranger thing since it's something that some folks she know would enjoy a lot more.

That, and she's gonna be a Pink ranger, and she kind of has issues with being assigned that color.

I'm not sure just how effective it'll be, but she'll likely try to expend her options of her own magical abilities before giving in to using the Ranger powers. (She's terribly stubborn like that.)

She'll be able to make dents in the foot soldiers, probably even the main monsters! She just might have trouble with the giant giant monsters that probably need a Zord to oppose them.

And on a character-based note, pinks' a perfectly good color. My characters will try to help with this.

Hi, I'm Elly. I'm throwing my proverbial hat in the ring (har har) as one of your villains. Insert evil laugh here!

Actually, this guy isn't that much of a villain. His name is Maxim, a character from a wonderful webcomic by Phil and Kaja Foglio named Girl Genius! (girlgeniusonline.com) He's more of a slapstick comedy sort in the webcomic, and he serves the main heroine of the tale. Here, unfortunately, he's been shoehorned into a villain role because well. He's not human.

This doesn't mean he won't give Being Bad the ol' college try, though, because as history has shown, the people he's sworn to serve in the past don't always play on the side of good.

But seriously the villains will attempt to lure him with great swaths of land for prizes (except he'll get stuck with Rhode Island because he's new)

Hello everyone! I'm Lita and I'll be your resident fire using, fan smacking, bad at cooking, but sweet and nice, Yukiko Amagi from the series Persona 4. She's a Red Ranger with the strange ability to summon part of her personality/mask called a persona...except the Morphing Grid done goofed and she can't summon Amaterasu!

Well, the good side is that now she has access to all her powers which include fire spells, removal aliment spells, and RECOVERY. Yep, your red ranger can heal your boo boos and wake you up should you get knocked out!

As for the event, fighting in spandex isn't her strong suit but once she figures out about the power thing, she'll be using that nonstop. Not her first rodeo but certainly the strangest.

Hey everyone, my name's Kitsu go away Kitsu! and I'll be briging a Pokemon ginjika OC. This here gal is named Nightgale, but there will be little chances of you seeing her as a she. She has certain issues and tends to always appear as a humanoid male.

It can be a bit confusing, especially as she goes by different personas depending on which form she's using. G for male, Gale for female and Nightgale for when she's in Anthro/Pokeform.

Gale is also a bit complicated when it comes to her morality so she'll be a Ranger at start simply because that's how she got brought it. Should she feel like it's a waste of time, there's a high chance she'll go rogue.

Considering that around Gale, there can be mature/unpleasant themes and the fact that she's got a foul mouth, I'd like it if you'd look over the Permissions post over here and let me know if you'd like to opt out of interactions with her. Please and thank you.

Hi everyone! I'm Noah and I'm bringing in Emily from PR:S. She's a ball of sunshine country girl that can use kanji symbols to morph into the Yellow Samurai Ranger. She has some experience as a ranger, but don't call her teacher yet since she's pretty much a replacement for her sister when she got sick a few years ago. Since she's used to fighting demons with her plastic sword, this will be a new one for her. But she can hold her own and will take on anything that tries to hurt innocents.

Aaaah Emily is adorable I love her. Can't wait to see her in the fight, or how she deals with the grittier Rangers.

OH RIGHT INTRODUCTIONS

For those few of you I don't know, I am Dragon, and my offering is Zetta. A demon who is the strongest being in the cosmos, he is also cheerfully prepared to play according to the rules, and one of these rules is summoning a team of mooks to do a task he could easily do himself if he just got off his ass and did it. And he's fine with that. It's called level-grinding.

Zetta's mooks, aside from classed characters, will consist of many strange monsters such as Prinnies and catkids. I've borrowed a mechanic from Disgaea 4, which lets them Fuse together to form a giant monster, because... do I really need to spell out why?

Anywho, I'm Skyla, and I'm bringing in the closet sci-fi geek that has been silently flailing in the command center, Yu Narukami from Persona 4. All this save the world stuff is old hat for him, although he's going to get a bit of a surprise when he goes to summon his Persona and ends up morphing instead. Whoops.
